What the heck is a Wiki?
A Wiki (a Hawaiian word that means "quick!") is web-based collaboration software that can help keep your team on the same page (literally).

Let's face it: project management in any company, organization or enterprise can be difficult at best... emails get sent to one person (maybe not the right person), important updates don't reach everyone, notes sometimes get lost, and project deadlines can get missed. Someone might have notes on their computer, but they call in sick. The management team might make a decision and not tell the marketing team. All kinds of things can go wrong.

A Wiki can help. It simplifies project management by creating a central web page where all team members can go to read up about a project.

But the true power of the Wiki is this: each member of the team can make changes or additions to the Wiki using just their web browser. No fancy software. No difficult training.

It's like a giant, expandable online meeting place that can help keep your project -- or your entire company -- on track and more productive.

Because it's an online application, you can access the Wiki at a web address such as www.yourcompany.com/wiki -- or we can even host it on our own server if you don't have a web site. We can password protect the entire wiki, so that unauthorized users won't even see it at all.

User-level permissions can also be assigned and revoked. For example, we can grant editing priviliges to some users, but restrict other users to only viewing the pages. We can also remove a user and disable their access.
